The city of Rome itself offers amazing traces of its millennial history. If you want to have a more complete experience of the Eternal city book a tour or why not, the three proposed.

Tour VIP Archaelogical: Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

A guided tour will take you back in time, in an extremely evocative setting that will make you feel like you’re walking in ancient Rome. First, we’ll admire the incredible technological means used for the gory entertainment practiced almost two thousand years ago at the Colosseum. Next, we’ll see the impressive ruins of the Imperial Palace on the Palatine Hill, and we’ll end with a tour of the Roman Forum, following the path of the emperors along the Via Sacra. It will be a walk through the ancient heart of Roman power, with its numerous temples – one of which is dedicated to Julius Caesar – and in the background, at the foot of the Capitol, the rostrum from which Mark Antony gave his famous speech.

Tour Capitoline Museum

These are the first museums in modern history where the greatest artists of the past spent days and months copying the antique statues. The Capitoline museums were built according to the blueprint of Michelangelo. Here precious works are exhibited, such as the famous Lupa (she-wolf) who nursed the twins Romulus and Remus, Marcus Aurelius, the philosopher emperor on horseback, the hard face of Constantine, and the two tender lovers Cupid and Psyche. Ancient masterpieces line the shelves and the halls. It is an extraordinary collection of art, essential viewing to get to know the protagonists of that era.

Tour Palazzo Massimo alle Terme

I’ll guide you to the most fascinating archaeological museum in Rome. The masterpieces that decorated the homes of the Roman emperors are preserved here. There are statues, mosaics and frescoes of extraordinary beauty. The most complete collection of ancient gold coins is guardedly kept in the vaults together with the poignant mummy of a little girl, buried with her small treasures: an articulated ivory doll, and some gold and gemstone jewelry.

Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.

Rated 5 out of 5

“This is a great tour! Having a private tour guide was the best thing we could have done for these areas. It is all amazing to look at the ruins and to think about how old it all is but Paola made it real. We felt as if we had gone back in time and were living among the ancient Romans. We had a ton of questions and she patiently answered every single one. I would recommend this tour to everyone.”
